YAY! Woo Hoo! I made something!!!!

Well its taken me just under a week and some days off work to complete it but I have done it and I'm very proud of the end result... Especially as it is the first skirt I have ever made.

Will wear it at my birthday party tomorrow - if it can survive a drunken Rachel then I am certain it will last for a long time.

Quite relieved its over with too though - I can move on to other projects now.

Skirt Making

Hard at work making a skirt (from scratch! well a pattern...). Have discovered that sewing machines and stretchy materials don't get on. Have successfully managed to set up my sewing machine and I have not sewed my head to anything yet so I guess that's good. Doing a bit of hand-sewing on it at the moment. If all goes well I may even finish it tonight!!!!

If it looks good I will post pictures of the finished item. If it looks crap or goes horribly wrong I will never mention it again and condemn myself only to ever make cushions...

Urgh... Post Holiday Brain Meltdown

I am not sure holidays are such a good thing. A week in the sun - exploring Malta was great... But since coming back I have hardly managed to do anything! Bags are strewn across my bedroom, there are bills to pay, I need to ebay stuff, I need to write and I need to desperately tidy my room so that I can find/do all of the above. For some strange reason I have sociable though - I have made plans with a friend, cooked a Maltese dish for two others and I have even delivered holiday gifts... However it is now Thursday and this week it seems I have only worked, cooked, watched Angel/Stargate Atlantis/Lost and slept - my brain feels like mush and I am sooo tired...

I want to go back to Malta!!!!!

New Other Blog!

I have been bad - I haven't posted here for ages - mainly because I didn't have much to say! I do now have lots to blog about but before I do I must write a little about my new other blog... For a while I have been wanting to set up another blog that is more focused than the drunken ramblings of ginquinn...

So I have created (actually Blogger has created!) a new blog - The Magician's Toilet which will focus on my divinatory interests which I feel will be out of context here.

There's not much there yet and I am not happy about the template so it will gradually look better as I play with it and seek the help of Garfield. Hopefully it will be filled with interesting magical writings/ramblings... Ginquinn will remain as my unfocused happy blog!
